Technology of manufacturing sensors for detecting environmental pollutants developed domestically in Iran

The Iranian Petroleum Research Institute, in cooperation with the scientific and technical department of the National Iran Oil Company developed domestically the design process and manufacturing technology of 17 sensors for detecting environmental pollutants in air, water and soil.

According to the report, the process of designing and manufacturing of 15 sensors for detection of pollutants in water, soil and air has been done, and the researchers are trying to complete the development of the other two sensors by the end of the year.

The process of domestic developement of 2 sensors (detection of oil spills and TPH) of 17 sensors will finish by the end of the year, and the sensors are also economically feasible.
