Applied plans/ industry problem solving:
The aim of this project is sweetening exhaust gas from the naphta reactor of Bu-Ali Sina petrochemical complex using nano-adsorbents. Flow of exhaust gas from naphta reactor containing 70% hydrogen and 5% hydrogen sulfide gas enters the flare and burns. In this research project using activated nickel sorbent, we achieved the complete removal of hydrogen sulfide from exhaust gas and the performance of adsorbent was observed around 70%.
With the removal of hydrogen sulfide gas emitted from the reactor of naphtha, pure hydrogen can return to the reactor and prevented the corrosive effects of hydrogen sulfide gas in the pipe systems.
