The Downstream Oil Industry Research and Development Center, comprising five research centers, two research institutes, and the Gas Processing Institute, is the largest research Center of RIPI in terms of human resources and infrastructure. This Center operates in line with RIPI’s vision, overarching goals, policies, and missions, following defined strategies.

  • Testing and evaluating gas sweetening solvents at operating temperature and pressure conditions in a gas sweetening pilot.
    Testing of used solvent recovery in a used solvent recovery pilot in order to obtain optimal operating conditions.
  • Absorbent testing and determination of adsorption and regeneration parameters with industrial feed
  • Formulated solvent manufacturing system for use in gas refineries
  • Hot plasma pilot to test the disposal of municipal and industrial waste
  • Pilot Fischer-Tropsch synthesis using a fixed bed reactor

  • Synthesis gas production pilot using a fixed bed reactor and a combined methane reforming process with steam and carbon dioxide
