SHANA (Tehran) – The Oil Ministry will support technology projects that sustained damage during the third imposed war, a senior official said.
Mehdi Ahmadkhan-Beigi, director general of research and technology at the Oil Ministry, said Sunday that applicants whose projects suffered physical damage and have submitted documentation to the secretariat will receive an increased coefficient in financial assistance under Note 2 of the 1403 budget law.
Speaking at the 12th meeting of the Oil Ministry’s Employment and Technology Business Development Working Group, he said companies were first identified through a public call and, for the first time, registered and uploaded documents via an interactive online system.
He added that, also for the first time, proposed projects were evaluated not only financially by the Oil Research and Technology Fund but also technically by four main companies. Criteria included employment commitments, alignment with real industry needs, and consistency with the Oil Ministry’s technology road map, leading to project prioritization.
Ahmadkhan-Beigi said the four main sectors—oil, gas, refining and petrochemicals—review projects in detail, determine proposed financing ceilings and submit them to the working group. The structural change aims to ensure expert oversight, improve implementation and direct resources toward achieving intended goals.
To ensure fair allocation of limited 1403 resources, he said, proposals approved by the ministry’s employment working group will be reviewed at the national level. After final approval, qualified applicants will be introduced to agent banks to receive funding.
